Traps & Shoulder Workout

Traps & Shoulders workout

We rocked the Iron this morning for about 50 mins, with 15mins of warming –up.  The gym we train at in the morning is kept so cold with the air conditioning, it takes a bit longer to get loose and warm.  We also have been training pretty hard and can feel the effects of workouts adding up…However, while we are trying to shred & cut-up a bit more , we just push-on...Kind of like so focused on a goal that we kick the body into another gear and all things that may be a distraction from our destination , fade away.  This type of focus really seems to give us such a natural high feeling…and we tap into extra energy needed to keep the training moving forward.

Exercises we hit today

Rest is kept to a minimum… most of the time, no longer than 30secs. R main focus is to burn calories, and blast the muscles we are trying to work…hard enough to signal the mind to believe it is necessary to hold onto the muscle, but not too hard that causes us to need extra rest before the muscles are recovered.

Barbell Shrug

Dumbbell Shrug

Upright Row

Standing Overhead Press

Seated Barbell Press

Seated Dumbbell Press

Bent-Over Lateral Raise

Arnold Press

Front Dumbbell Raise

We also hit some calves & abs for about 10 mins. Serena De Vito & Jeremy Le Beau again train with weights in a style best described as listening to your body… At times today we lifted heavy and at times we lifted very light, it all depended on how our bodies felt at that moment… We find this is the most effective way for us to train.  This way it allows us to connect the mind and body together to work as one… training the body without the mind, only seems to hold us back…listening to our bodies has given us great results and has allowed us to train the mind & body at the same time!
