Hump Day Leg Workout

Hump Day Leg Blast

Time: We arrived at the gym at 5:20, and felt pretty fresh from getting in a good 8 hours of sleep last night…sleep plays a very important role in our training recovery!

We left the gym at 6:30am.

Serena warmed-up on the treadmill, and Jeremy used the weights.

Jeremy based his workout around heavy Barbell squats… He goes pretty low, but more focuses on supporting a heavy load on his legs…and will use the other exercises to do a full controlled range of motion.

Serena also focused her workout around Barbell squats, but didn’t go to heavy because she still is letting her hamstring recover from the slight tweak. She also spent a bit of time stretching in-between her first exercise to ensure that she was good to blast the weights.

We both blasted several leg exercises and would rest for little or no time between exercises… Again, we find that Intensity is a great way to hit the Iron.  We really never go to failure with our reps, because we hit the weights seven days a week and we find that training to failure takes too long to recover from. Our main focus is building a strong muscular lean and toned body, while cutting as much fat as possible.

A list of exercises we blasted today

Barbell squats

Smith-Machine lunges

Barbell front squats

Leg press – single leg

Stiff-Legged dead lift

Leg Extension

Standing leg curl

Lying leg Curl

Once again, We DO NOT FOLLOW ANY CERTAIN REP, WEIGHT, TEMPO, or SET ROUTINE….WE WALK IN THE GYM KNOWING WHAT BODY PART WE ARE GOING TO HIT and ROCK IT… LISTENING TO HOW OUR BODIES FEEL THAT DAY!

We find this style gives us great results…many times we don’t even take the time to recognize how much weight we are moving.
